Economic Woes Impact Charities

When faced with economic uncertainty, charitable organizations suffer as donations are frequently among the first things to go when we are tightening our belts.
In my day job — I am a Senior Tax Advisor for the world’s largest tax preparation company. Many people who itemize their taxes are missing out on a great deduction – that of charitable donations. You can give cash or goods to a recognized charity, feel good about it, and get a tax deduction thereby reducing your Federal taxes. Those donations can make a difference for the charitable organization, and on your tax return.
Here’s a thought, what if you took all the savings you received from coupons, loyalty discounts, and cash back to be able to donate to your favorite organization?
I know many of you would love to be able to contribute to your favorite charitable organizations, but just don’t have the means to do so right now. Or maybe you believe charity begins at home and you could benefit personally from some extra cash. If you are interested in finding out if this is a viable option for you, please use the contact form or leave voice mail at 646-801-3229, include your name, number, and best time to call. I will personally call you back within 24 hours.
